Laser Dentistry in Boca Raton

How do Lasers Work?

A laser amplifies light, and Dr. Pohl uses this light energy to effectively and painlessly clean teeth, whiten teeth, and to cure composite resin material.  Dr. Pohl uses the Waterlase Laser by BioLase®, the leader in dental lasers.  The Waterlase's laser energy is absorbed in water, and it was the first laser to be approved by the FDA for cutting hard tissue, such as tooth structure.

Lasers and Tooth Decay

Now, Dr. Pohl can remove decay from teeth with virtually no anesthetic, no pain, and no vibration.  According to Dr. Pohl, "I have personally used the laser on a lower molar cavity that was near the tooth's nerve without any discomfort!"
